LEONARDTOWN, Md. – Superintendent of Schools, Dr. J. Scott Smith, announces the administrative appointment made by the Board of Education at its meeting of October 23, 2024.
The Board appointed Mr. Michael Watson as Chief Operating Officer in the Division of Supporting Services. Mr. Watson holds a Master’s Degree from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland and a Bachelor’s Degree from Waynesburg University. Mr. Watson currently serves as a Director of Facility, Coordination, Physical Education, and Athletics.
Mr. Watson’s appointment will become effective October 28, 2024.
