At 2:30 a.m. April 27, St. Maryโ€™s Sheriffโ€™s Deputy Scott Ruest observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the rear parking lot of the WaWa in Lexington Park.

The vehicle was running, the headlights on and the driver, identified as Michael Troy Langley, Jr. 22 of Leonardtown, was sitting in the driverโ€™s seat asleep.

Deputy Ruest attempted to get Langleyโ€™s attention by knocking on the driverโ€™s door but Langley did not respond.ย  The door to the vehicle was unlocked so Deputy Ruest opened the door to check Langleyโ€™s welfare.

In the vehicle, Deputy Ruest observed a bottle containing an alcoholic beverage half full in the center console.

Deputy Ruest had Langley exit the vehicle.ย  Through Deputy Ruestโ€™s investigation he discovered Langley to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance โ€“ marijuana.

Michael Troy Langley, Jr. was arrested for possession of marijuana.ย  Search incident to the arrest revealed a glass CDS smoking device on Langleyโ€™s person.

Langley was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance โ€“ marijuana and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.
