Update 8/28/2017- via Maryland State Police- On 08/27/17 at 1:08 pm, TFC Rucker responded to a motor vehicle crash at Route 4 and Patuxent Point Parkway in Solomons, MD.  The collision involved several vehicles including a Ford Expedition and Toyota Tacoma. 

The Ford Expedition rolled over during the crash and the driver was flown to PG Shock Trauma.  The driver is currently listed in good condition and expected to fully recover.  The State Police is looking for any witnesses that may have seen the events leading up to the crash.

Update – 4:30 pm RT4/Patuxent Point Pkwy, Solomons is open.

UPDATE 2:39 p.m.- NB RT4/Patuxent Point Pkwy, Solomons will remain closed for a period of time while the Maryland State Police handle accident reconstruction. Expect heavy delays and re-routing. If avoidable, find an alternate route. 

UPDATE 1:33 p.m.- A MEDEVAC has been requested for at least one patient. The Landing Zone is just south of the crash. Expect heavy delays as emergency crews work at the scene. 
CORRECTION on Location: NB RT4/Patuxent Point Pkwy, Solomons is closed due to an auto accident. Reports of traffic backed up across Thomas Johnson Bridge.

Solomons Island Md. – Aug 27, At around 1:12 pm a motor vehicle crash was reported on Solomons Island Road in the area of A Ave.
