On January 13, at 9:18 p.m., Tpr. R. L. Jackson and other officers responded to the reported stabbing in the 38000 block of Foley Mattingly Road in Mechanicsville.
Upon arrival, contact was made with the female witness, 46 of Mechanicsville, who advised James Johnson Morgan, 44 of Mechanicsville was intoxicated inside the residence and had stabbed his father in the left forearm.
Morgan was taken into custody and detained at the scene prior to being transported to the Leonardtown Barracks for processing.
While at the scene, Morgan was found to be in possession of a glass tubular smoking device with cocaine. He was later transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
