On Jan. 9, at 1:32 a.m., Kyle Stuart Richards, 21 of Hughesville, was arrested by Tpr. J. Gibson for possession of marijuana.
Richards was driving a white Chevrolet S-10 on Mechanicsville Road when he was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit. Contact was made with the driver, Richards, and an odor of burnt marijuana was coming from the car. During the course of the traffic stop, Richards was found to be in possession of a small bag of marijuana.
Richards was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
