INDIAN HEAD, MD – A 34-year-old dirt bike rider suffered serious injuries after being struck by a passing vehicle on Mason Springs Road in the early morning hours of March 2, 2025.
According to emergency dispatch, the victim’s spouse called 911, advising authorities that her husband had been riding a dirt bike when he was hit.
First responders arrived quickly and provided immediate medical attention before determining that the injuries required a medical helicopter transport. The victim was airlifted to a trauma center for further treatment.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation, and authorities have not yet released details on the driver of the vehicle involved.
