With the lifting of the local state of emergency, St. Maryโ€™s County Government offices, programs and services will resume normal operations on Wednesday, October 31.

All St. Maryโ€™s County Public Schools will be open on Wednesday.

The Governor Thomas Johnson Bridge is open and operating normally however a wind warning remains in place.

The State Highway Administration reminds drivers to treat intersections with flashing signals or no power as a four way stop.

The shelters at Great Mills High School, Leonardtown High School and the pet shelter at the county fairgrounds have closed.

SMECO continues to report 850 outages across St. Maryโ€™s County.

The Metropolitan Commission (MetCom) reminds customers that properties equipped with a sewage grinder pump which have experienced a loss of power, the grinder pump alarm will likely activate once power has been restored. If this occurs and the alarm continues to sound for more than 30 minutes, please call MetComโ€™s 24-hour response line at 301-373-5305.

Early voting resumes Wednesday. Governor Oโ€™Malley has extended the early voting period until Friday, November 2. Early voting takes place in Room 14 in the Potomac Building on the Governmental Campus in Leonardtown. Hours are from 8 am to 9 pm each day. Also, the period to submit an Absentee request has been extended. Absentee Applications must be received by mail or fax not later than 8 p.m. and by email not later than 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31, 2012.

The STS Transit System, six Convenience Centers and St. Andrews Landfill will be open for normal business hours Wednesday. Non-Public School transportation will be provided.

All St. Maryโ€™s County Recreation and Parks facilities and programs will be open.

St. Maryโ€™s County Circuit Court and District Court will be open.

All Senior Activity Centers will be open Wednesday and senior programs will take place as scheduled.

All three county library branches will be open for regular hours Wednesday.
