HOLLYWOOD, Md. – A 25-year-old man from St. Mary’s County, identified as Kaimrhon Emmanuel Bonaventure, has been arrested following a series of protective order violations and escalating criminal behavior culminating in a police operation on November 27, 2024.
Chronology of Protective Order Violations and Domestic Violence
Bonaventure’s history of violating protective orders and engaging in domestic violence spans several months. In late March 2024, he breached a protective order by contacting his former partner, the mother of his young child, via social media. Using an alias account, Bonaventure sent messages regarding child support and posted personal videos of himself. Law enforcement verified his identity, documenting the incident as part of a string of violations.
The protective order had been issued in October 2023 to safeguard the victim and her child, following allegations of domestic violence, including physical abuse, threats, and harassment. Court records reveal that Bonaventure’s actions included incidents of strangulation, physical beatings, and repeated threats to the victim’s life.
On November 27, 2024, Bonaventure took more aggressive actions by attempting to enter the victim’s residence in Hollywood, Maryland. Security footage captured him approaching the home in camouflage clothing, knocking on the door, and attempting to force it open. The victim reported locking herself and her child inside while contacting authorities. A multi-agency police operation, including K9 units and drone support, located Bonaventure five hours later, hiding in dense foliage near the property. He admitted to violating the protective order and stated he had traveled from Georgia to Maryland in an effort to “make things work.”
Other Criminal Incidents
In addition to protective order violations, Bonaventure engaged in other criminal activities in November 2024. On November 14, he was arrested for trespassing and burglary at a secured facility in Lexington Park. Surveillance footage showed him climbing a fence to gain access to the property, where he was found sleeping in a box truck. Bonaventure claimed he was homeless and looking for shelter, though he was charged with burglary.
Two days later, on November 16, 2024, he was implicated in another burglary incident, further demonstrating his disregard for the law.
Community and Legal Response
Bonaventure remains in custody, facing multiple charges, including violations of protective orders, burglary, and trespassing.
