Emergency responders in St. Maryโ€™s County were dispatched to several incidents Monday, Oct. 21. In addition to a shooting involving a sheriffโ€™s deputy, who wounded a domestic assault suspect at a Lexington Park residence, two other mid-afternoon incidents in the county brought response from the ground and required help from the air.

According to sources, at 3:19 p.m. crews were sent to a residence on Kennedy Court in Oakville. A 70-year-old woman reportedly fell through the ceiling from the houseโ€™s attic. The unidentified woman was transported by Maryland State Police Trooper 7 to Prince Georgeโ€™s Shock Trauma.

At 3:47 p.m. emergency crews were called to the Bethune Educational Center on Colton Point Road in Bushwood. Sources report a 40-year-old man fell from the top of a step leader and was reportedly unconscious. The unidentified man was flown by Eagle 1 to Prince Georgeโ€™s Shock Trauma.
