Artists and wildlife enthusiasts alike are invited to attend the 7th Annual Community Foundation of Southern Maryland Potomac River Waterfowl Show on May 24 and 25 at the St. Maryโs Countyย Fairgrounds in Leonardtown. The show features dozens of award-winning artists showcasing their world-class wildlife art both at a dinner reception and day-time fair.
The show opens to the public on Saturday at 10 a.m. and admission is $5 per person. Experienced and novice decoy carvers may enter their creations in the showโs Working Decoy competition โ registration is between 10 a.m. and noon; entry fees are $10 for the first decoy and $4 for each additional entry.
Join the Community Foundation of Southern Maryland in honoring Honorary Chairperson Tommy Deagle, local decoy carving legend and meet the many award-winning wildlife artists who are joining them this weekend who come from Virginia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland’s eastern, western and southern shores. Along with the work on display, attendees are able to purchase waterfowl related items from local retailers, contemporary and antique decoys, carvings, prints and original artwork directly from the artists.
