A minor crash on Route 235, at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday in California, resulted in police recovering a stolen vehicle and a DWI arrest.
Police and volunteer rescue personnel responded to an injury crash near Wawa and CVS on Route 235. Police quickly discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen by way of a lost key.
Police believe the driver John T. Merrill, 47, was intoxicated and on a suspended license. Merrill was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital for injuries and a blood-alcohol test.
Police have not yet released any details on the incident. The Maryland State Police are reportedly investigating.
