At 10:50 pm on Jan. 26, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to a residence in the 11700 block of Majestic Placein Waldorf for the report of a strong-arm robbery.
Investigation revealed the victim, a 28-year-old Waldorf man, was exiting Commerce Liquors located at 11919 Business Park Drivein Waldorf when the suspect asked him for a ride. The victim drove the suspect to the area of Tawny Driveand Tanglewood Driveand when he stopped the car, the suspect grabbed the victim by the arm and demanded money. The victim ordered the suspect out of his vehicle but the suspect refused and implied he had a handgun. The suspect stole a CD case and cell phone and fled the scene.
Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. The suspect is described as a black male with short hair. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.
The victim was not injured.
