WALDORF, Md. — A Washington, D.C., man was arrested earlier this month in connection with a series of armed robberies that targeted 7-Eleven stores in Waldorf late last year, according to court documents.
Antonio Hermazo Blount, 37, was taken into custody in April 2026 following an investigation into two robberies that occurred on December 9, 2025, at locations on Crain Highway and Smallwood Drive.
According to charging documents, two suspects entered the first store armed with a weapon and demanded cigarettes and cash from employees. Investigators say one suspect carried a large bag and removed multiple cartons of cigarettes, while also taking a “trust” money bag containing approximately $2,500 in cash.
A short time later, a second 7-Eleven in Waldorf was robbed in a similar manner, with the suspects again taking cigarette cartons and additional merchandise before fleeing the scene.
Authorities say surveillance footage, license plate reader data, and video evidence helped investigators identify a vehicle connected to the robberies. The vehicle was later linked to Blount after being captured on camera at multiple locations, including a casino in Maryland.
Further investigation determined the same vehicle had been used in multiple incidents, and detectives identified Blount as the driver. Investigators also allege hundreds of packs of cigarettes were stolen during the robberies, valued in the thousands of dollars.
Blount has been charged with multiple counts of armed robbery, robbery, organized retail theft, and theft-related offenses.
He is currently being held without bond following a bail review hearing before Judge Michael O. Glynn III.
A preliminary hearing is set for May 13, 2026, in Charles County District Court.
