St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s are investigating a theft incident. The victim lent his 2000 Toyota Echo to Brian Christopher Kirk, 25 of Mechanicsville.
The vehicle contained handguns in the trunk. Kirk stole the handguns and a bank check, which Kirk cashed. Kirk also failed to return the victim’s vehicle as agreed. On June 10, Kirk was operating the vehicle and stopped by Dfc. Labrack.
Kirk was charged with theft over $500, theft of a motor vehicle and theft under $500.
