Detectives obtained information regarding criminal activity at two separate residences in the area of the 46000 block of Lucca Way in Lexington Park. Detectives, assisted by members of the Lexington Park COPS Unit, the St. Maryโ€™s County Emergency Services Team, Sheriff Office Vice/Narcotics Support Team and Deputies from the K-9 Unit, executed two search warrants on separate residences on Lucca Way.

During the initial contact at the first residence by the Emergency Services Team, several suspects began running from the home through the back door and out of a second story window. Tyreke Delante Butler (Age 24) and Chris Ricardo Colbert (Age 30) were both apprehended and issued citations for possession of marijuana. Quantaz Lamar Shields (Age 27 of Capital Heights) was apprehended and in his possession was $500.00 in counterfeit currency. The Criminal Investigations Division is currently investigating a theft and fraud case involving Suspect Shields purchasing a vehicle off of the Craigslist site with counterfeit money. CID will handle the continued investigation. Suspect Shields has 25 years of โ€œback up timeโ€ through Prince Georgeโ€™s County for prior robbery charges and was out on parole. Another individual, Glenn Rodney Battle (Age 28) was apprehended and a check revealed he had two open warrants for โ€œFailure to Pay Child Supportโ€ and โ€œFailure to Appearโ€. Additional charges are pending against the listed suspects as well as unnamed individuals frequenting that residence.

The second residence revealed evidence of prescription drug distribution. It appears the residence is a point of both distribution and use for opioids. Ledgers containing information on pill sales were recovered as well as personal information belonging to known opioid addicts. Numerous empty pill bottles, used syringes and other related paraphernalia were recovered. In addition there were marijuana plants, marijuana and related paraphernalia belonging to Curtis William Richardson (Age 21) seized and he was arrested. Additional charges are pending a review with Stateโ€™s Attorney Richard D. Fritz related to a female target at that residence.
