On May 21, Deputy Ellis was patrolling southbound on Point Lookout Road in Leonardtown, when he observed a 1996 Oldsmobile being driven after dark without it’s headlights on.
Deputy Ellis initiated a traffic stop and contacted the driver, identified as Kimberly Michelle Dove, 24 of Mechanicsville. A check of Dove’s license through the Motor Vehicle Administration revealed her privilege to drive in Maryland was suspended. Dove consented to a search of her vehicle.
As a result of the consent search Deputy Ellis located a clear plastic baggie containing suspected oxyodone concealed in the ash tray.
Dove was arrested and charged with possession prescription medication in a container without a proper label as required by state law.
