At 9:05 p.m. on Sunday, December 24, TFC Linger was patrolling southbound Rt. 5 in Charlotte Hall when he stopped 1988 Ford Tempo displaying switched tags.
Contact was made with the driver, Charles Edward Taylor, 50, of Mechanicsville. A search of the vehicle revealed 2 plastic bags containing trace cocaine.
Taylor was arrested for possession of cocaine and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center pending a bond review.
