ANNAPOLIS, Md. – On December 25 at 1:45 p.m., an officer witnessed a hit and run accident on Spa Road near Old Forest Drive, Annapolis. The driver of the Honda involved in the accident did not stop and immediately drove off road near Annapolis Middle School. The driver struck a short wooden pole and fled out of the vehicle on foot. As he was running he threw a digital scale. Officers caught up to him and arrested him.

He was identified as a 17 year old male from Glen Burnie. Officers found 11 grams of suspect marijuana on his person. The vehicle was discovered to have been stolen in Anne Arundel County.

The 17 year old was charged on a juvenile citation with motor vehicle theft, theft, possession of CDS, driving without a license and other traffic charges.
