On June 8, 2015, Deputy Steinbach responded to the Best Buy Store located on Worth Avenue in California, for a reported shoplifter.
Loss prevention personnel alleged suspect Madison Rae Bateman, age 18, of Mechanicsville, concealed several pieces of merchandise and left the store without paying.
Bateman was placed under arrest and a search was conducted.
Additional stolen merchandise from Petco and Old Navy was recovered from inside her handbag.
Bateman was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with 2 COUNTS Theft Under $1,000, Theft Under $100, and Theft Scheme Under $1,000. CASE #33572-15
