Due to recent burglaries at the Olde Breton Inn, located on Society Hill in Leonardtown, Sheriff’s Office personnel were conducting surveillance on May 18 at approximately 1:20 a.m., when they observed a 17-year-old male from Hollywood and a 17-year-old male from Leonardtown, forcing entry into the establishment.
A foot chase ensued with both suspects and both were apprehended. The juvenile from Hollywood was transported to Prince George’s Hospital, for a broken leg he sustained while jumping a ravine and the juvenile from Leonardtown was treated and released at St. Mary’s Hospital, for a chest injury he sustained in a fall, while running in the woods.
St. Mary’s County BCI detectives are conducting the investigation to determine the juveniles’ involvement in past burglaries and charges are pending.
