The male juvenile was operating a blue Chevrolet Cavalier on Mechanicsville Road, in the area of Lawrence Hayden Road in Mechanicsville, when he was stopped for an equipment violation.
Upon contact with the driver, an odor of an alcoholic beverage and burnt marijuana were emitting from the vehicle. Both Wolthers and the male juvenile were found to be in possession of marijuana. Bud Light beer and a bottle of Jack Daniels Whiskey were found on the rear floor of the vehicle. Both subjects were transported to the Leonardtown Barrack where they were processed.
The juvenile charged with possession of marijuana, possession of CDS paraphernalia and possession of an alcoholic beverage as a minor. He was later released to his sister pending further action from Juvenile Services. Wolthers was later transported to the St. Mary’s County detention center where he was charged accordingly for the possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. He was issued a civil citation for the possession of an alcoholic beverage under the age of 21. He was held at the detention center pending a bond review.
