CALIFORNIA, Md. — MetCom is pleased to launch this digital platform, which is reflective of a broader trend among local governments investing in technology that supports open meetings, record access and user-friendly public interfaces. The Diligent One Community is an upgraded next-generation online meeting management and governance software platform that will be utilized to improve access to published agendas, meeting minutes, support documentation, policies and other public records.

Implemented at the Aug. 27, 2026, Commission Meeting, this paperless, user-friendly initiative will provide:

Public Transparency: Provides a digital portal for community members and stakeholders to view public meeting materials, minutes, policies and resolutions;

Constituent Engagement: Allows citizens to subscribe for meeting updates and submit public comment forms online;

Enhanced Accessibility: Meets ADA compliance standards for public and elected boards and is designed for ease of use across desktops and mobile devices;

Searchable Centralized Repository: Houses automated, context-sensitive searchable records for improved access to previous meetings and support documentation;

Streamlined Archiving: Reduces local data storage needs by replacing paper and fragmented files with an unlimited cloud document library, which will cut down on duplicate file creation and needless local downloads.
