Teresa “Teri” Sue Newman, of Lexington Park, Maryland, passed away unexpectedly at her home on July 15, 2026. She was 65 years old.

Born on October 23, 1960, in California, Teri was the beloved daughter of the late Andrew Earl Newman and Patricia Jean Ball Newman.

Teri’s greatest joy in life was her family. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren, who brought endless happiness and laughter into her life. Her warm heart, caring spirit, and unwavering love for those closest to her created countless treasured memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She had a great love for all animals, but most of all she would feed stray/outdoor cats and give them attention and love they deserved.

Throughout her life, Teri demonstrated strength, kindness, and a deep commitment to the people she loved. Her legacy is one of compassion, devotion, and the meaningful relationships she nurtured over the years. She will be remembered for the love she shared, the wisdom she offered, and the lasting impact she made on her family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Teri’s life during a visitation on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, Maryland 20650.

Teri is survived by her son, Joshua Lee Newman of Lexington Park, MD, her grandchildren Tyler Newman and Ryder Newman; her siblings Kim Fowler (Joe) of Hughesville, MD and Andrew Kevin Newman (Samantha) of Lexington Park, MD and her nieces and nephews Stephen Nelson, Christopher Nelson, Brandon Newman and Zoe Newman. She is preceded in death by her parents and her nephew Kevin Newman.

Though Teri will be deeply missed, her memory will continue to live on through the love she gave so freely and the lives she touched so profoundly.
