PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — The Heat Lab and Fit Living in Progress are coming to Prince Frederick, bringing a shared vision for functional wellness to the community. This partnership is one of the latest additions to what looks to be a busy shopping center for Calvert County residents.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to bring this collaboration to Armory Square and offer the community a truly unique wellness destination,” said Fit Living in Progress CEO William “Brent” Lankford in an emailed statement. Lankford added that they’re hoping for a late summer or early fall opening and advises the community to keep an eye on social media for more information.
The Heat Lab is a wellness group founded by Southern Maryland locals with “a passion for helping our community feel better, recover stronger, and live well,” according to their website. They provide infrared sauna and cold plunge (contrast therapy), IV therapy, recovery tools, and are adding more offerings to their list.
Fit Living in Progress offers “personalized integrative medicine and aesthetics focused on prevention, optimization, and wellness — prioritizing progress over perfection in your health journey,” according to their website.
At the Armory Square location, FLiP will offer IV therapy, medical aesthetics, hormone and weight loss consults, and more. The Heat Lab will offer their state-of-the-art infrared sauna, cold plunge and wellness therapies.
Together, the two businesses aim to support clients’ wellness journeys from both a medical and recovery perspective, making it easier for people to achieve their health goals in one convenient location and create a comprehensive “bio-hacking” experience.
Lankford said that both businesses are excited to offer their services under one roof in a modern, welcoming environment designed for both relaxation and transformation. The location “will also be set in a community-focused, social setting.”
Armory Square will include major brand names like Aldi, Jersey Mike’s, Playa Bowls and more. Most businesses haven’t officially announced when they’ll open, but things are clearly underway at the site. Armory Square is at the site of the old Calvert Middle School, located at 429 Solomons Island Road, Prince Frederick.
The groundbreaking ceremony at Armory Square was in March 2024 after a lengthy discussion and approval process. Calvert residents can stay up to date on the businesses coming to Armory Square and around the county using Calvert’s “What’s Going Where” map.
