PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — A new women-centered fitness and wellness studio is set to open its doors on July 1, bringing a unique blend of fitness, personal development, and community programming to Calvert County.
Located at 2192 Solomons Island Road South, Suite 4, in Prince Frederick, The Space Collective Studios was founded by local entrepreneur and Master Certified Personal Trainer Genna Ross. The studio was created with a mission to provide a welcoming, supportive environment where women can grow stronger physically, mentally, and emotionally while building meaningful connections with others.
The studio is designed with women of all ages and fitness levels in mind, offering a range of classes and training options including strength training, Trampoline Fit, Peach Squad lower body training, small group personal training, one-on-one personal training and specialized wellness programs.
But Ross said the mission stretches beyond typical gym offerings.
“The Space Collective is more than a studio,” Ross said. “It’s a place where women can come exactly as they are, build confidence, improve their health, and find a community that supports their growth.”
Inclusive Programming
The studio has secured a partnership with the Special Olympics to provide fitness and wellness programming that supports athletes and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Beginning in September, The Space Collective Studios will also launch a yoga program specifically designed for young adults on the autism spectrum. The program will focus on movement, mindfulness, sensory regulation, confidence-building and social connection in a supportive and inclusive environment.
“Everyone deserves access to wellness, movement, and community,” Ross said. “We’re committed to creating programming that meets people where they are and helps them thrive.”

Ross, who has spent years working across fitness, wellness and advocacy, said creating access for underserved populations remains central to the studio’s identity as it prepares to welcome its first members.
The studio will offer a variety of fitness programs designed for women of all ages and fitness levels, including:
- Specialized Wellness Programs
- Strength Training Classes
- Trampoline Fit
- Peach Squad Lower Body Training
- Small Group Personal Training
- One-on-One Personal Training
Community members will also have an opportunity to experience the new space during a soft opening event from 9 a.m. to noon July 11. The event will feature local vendors, shopping opportunities, fitness and wellness businesses, and a chance to tour the studio. A grand opening celebration and block party is planned for Sept. 5 and will include an open house, community activities, demonstrations, giveaways and additional special guests.
The Space Collective Studios officially opens Tuesday, July 1, at 2192 Solomons Island Road South, Suite 4, Prince Frederick, MD 20678.
