Career & Technology Academy Annual Car Showon April 27 (9 am), located at Calvert Career and Technology Academy, 330 Dorsey Rd , Prince Frederick, MD – Join us for our annual CAR SHOW! Come out and support the amazing students of the Career and Technology Academy. Register on site beginning at 9am; exhibitors $15. First 100 receive a dash plaque. Trophies in several categories! Spectators $5. Children under 12 free. 

Food Truck Fair on April 27 (11 am to 2 pm), located at Hughesville Volunteer Fire Department, 15245 Prince Frederick Road, Hughesville, MD – Food Truck Fair featuring That Philly Spot, Better Than Mom’s, Nicolletti’s Pizza, Sweet Tooth Funnel Cakes. Rain or shine! Indoor seating available. Free–Pay for the food you want.

Reithoffer Carnival is Coming to Towne from April 26 through April 28 (Weekdays: 5 pm to 10 pm, Saturdays: 1 pm – 11 pm, and Sundays: 1 pm – 10 pm), located at St. Charles Towne Center, 11110 Mall Cir, Waldorf, MD – Get ready for an unforgettable experience as Reithoffer carnival comes to Towne! From thrilling rides to classic games and delicious treats, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Spring Into Fashion At The Mall on April 27 (3 pm to 6 pm), located at St. Charles Towne Center Mall, 11110 Mall Circle, Waldorf, MD – “Spring Into Fashion At the Mall” is a fundraiser Event sponsored by TalainEvet Exclusive Handbags and Accessories. An afternoon of High Fashion, food, prizes, raffles and more. Charles County Children’s Aid Society is celebrating 90 years of serving our most vulnerable with food, clothing, personal care hygiene products, and much more. Ticket purchases are tax-deductible, and all proceeds go to Children’s Aid Society. General Admissions is $30/ VIP Tickets $50.

Historic Sotterley Annual Garden Guild Plant Saleon April 27 (9 am to 2 pm) and April 28 (12 pm to 3 pm), located at Historic Sotterley, 44300 Sotterley Lane, Hollywood, MD – From nurturing and maintaining our exquisite Colonial Revival Gardens – to giving fun and informative workshops, and bringing extra flair and beauty to the site. The Sotterley Garden Guild are dedicated volunteers who do so much! Please stop by, support, and shop at their Annual Plant Sale! Here is your chance to buy plants lovingly nurtured by the Sotterley gardeners. Have questions? Members of the Garden Guild will be on hand with the answers and to share advice. The funds raised by this all-volunteer group of gardening enthusiasts are used to maintain the beautiful Colonial Revival Garden. It is in the gardens that their labors and their love of gardening is displayed so majestically. To come and browse the plant selection is free. A cost is only involved if you choose to purchase plants or other items.

29th Annual 2024 Southern Maryland Spring FestivalMay 2 through May 5, located at St. Mary’s County Fairground, 42455 Fairgrounds Rd, Leonardtown, MD – For over twenty-five years, the Southern Maryland Spring Festival has enjoyed bringing the local community together for a weekend of family fun with carnival rides, entertainment, food, yard sale, artists, crafters, kid’s games and much more! This fun-filled, family-oriented event is a popular local event for the community and the festival showcases many of our local talents and businesses. Holy Face Church in Great Mills, Maryland is the proud sponsor of the Southern Maryland Spring Festival.

Historic Sotterley Tour Season Opening Weekendon May 2 (10 am to 4 pm), May 3 (10 am to 4 pm), May 4 (10 am to 4 pm), and May 5 (11:30 am to 4 pm), located at Historic Sotterley, 44300 Sotterley Ln, Hollywood, MD – Historic Sotterley’s Tour Season officially begins on Thursday, May 2nd! Guided tours of our Historic Manor House will be offered Thursday through Saturday at 10:30, 11:30, 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00 and on Sunday at Noon, 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00. Tickets can be purchased at our Visitor Center the day of the tour. Exhibits will also be opened for self-guided tours. For more information, see our visit page.
