MECHANICSVILLE, Md. – Emergency responders were dispatched to a traffic collision at the intersection of Budds Creek Road and Mechanicsville Road today, at approximately 5:02 p.m.
Officials reported two vehicles were involved in the crash, with one vehicle overturning off the road. Fire and rescue units arrived on scene and secured the area.
Three individuals were evaluated by emergency medical personnel at the scene. A medevac helicopter has been requested for one patient due to the severity of injury. The two other patients were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The incident remains under investigation. Motorists are advised to use caution in the area while crews operate on scene.
