Hollywood, Md. – Emergency crews responded Saturday night to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Three Notch Road and Hollywood Road in Hollywood, Maryland.

According to dispatch, first responders were alerted to the collision at approximately 8:09 p.m. Initial information indicated that three individuals sustained injuries, including a pregnant 21-year-old woman.

Medical personnel at the scene assessed one patient with chest pains and another with a knee laceration. A third patient later requested evaluation. Two of the injured were transported to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment, while the third was initially set to be airlifted by Maryland State Police Trooper 7 to Capital Region Trauma Center. However, due to weather conditions, Trooper 7 was grounded, and the patient was transported to the trauma center via ground ambulance instead.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and traffic in the area was temporarily affected as emergency crews worked the scene.

Motorists were advised to use caution while traveling through the area. Updates will be provided as more details become available.

  1. What is it with this intersection ? Regular motorists to fire trucks cant negotiate this area. Line of sight is wide open , this should not be happening. I’d say a traffic study is in order for this intersection or havn’t enough people died there yet..

    1. It’s one of the few left that don’t alternate sides and turns. Like the new FDR / Chancellors Run light. Most people in the county have gotten used to one side going/turning, then the other. More fine work by the state. Like the ridiculous 45mph in the entire north end.
