La Plata, MD – With perfect fall weather, a large crowd showed their appreciation to veterans with their attendance at the annual La Plats Salute to Veteran Parade Sunday, Nov. 8. The parade route started at the Charles County Courthouse and proceeded on Charles Street, La Grange Avenue and Queen Anne Street to the end at the parking lot next to Sacred Heart Church.
The reviewing stand was in front of the La Plata Town Hall. Town council members, several county commissioners and other officials recognized the many passing units, including the JROTC’s of the county’s high schools, veteran’s organizations, car clubs, scouts and emergency apparatus.
