SCOTLAND, Md. — We are receiving reports of an accident in southern St. Mary’s County which is sending multiple people to a nearby Trauma Center.
At approximately 5:55 p.m. on May 14, first responders were dispatched to the 49000 block of Fresh Pond Neck Road for a reported motor vehicle accident.
Upon arrival, crews discovered two vehicles involved in the accident, and two patients in urgent need of treatment. Two of the patients, a 4-year-old and their 40-year old mother, both are being transported by the Trooper 7 helicopter to a nearby trauma center for their injuries.
One other patient has refused treatment. The helicopter is currently set to land next to St. Michael’s School, off of Three Notch Road in Ridge.
