Authorities in St. Mary’s County are investigating a motor vehicle accident that has left two people injured.
Rescue crews responded to the 21600 block of Great Mills Road in Lexington Park on Tuesday, August 10 around 4:15 p.m. for report of an accident with entrapment.
Crews arrived on the scene to discover two vehicles involved, both Honda Accords. The driver of one vehicle struck the other from behind. None of the accident were actually trapped, when rescue workers arrived, but did receive medical attention.
Two patients were transported to St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while an additional crash victim signed a refusal of treatment.
No word on the cause of the crash or if any charges have been made.
The accident remains under investigation.
