Carole Ligon Oduyoye, 42, of White Plains, attempted to make a left turn onto Copley Avenue from Smallwood Drive in Waldorf but her Toyota SUV crossed the path of a northbound Mitsubishi SUV driven by Christopher John Colmain, 20, of Cheltenham. The vehicles collided in the intersection and Oduvove’s Toyota overturned and struck a Ford pickup truck driven by Frank Howard Hardesty, Sr., 80, of Waldorf. Oduyoye sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was flown by a United States Park Police helicopter to Prince George’s General Hospital. Her passengers – a two-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl – and the drivers of the other vehicles were not injured. All the drivers were wearing their seatbelts and the children were in appropriate safety seats.
