Head-on crash in Maryland

HOLLYWOOD, Md. — One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon, January 22, 2026, on Hollywood Road.

The collision occurred around 12:35 p.m. near Fwd Drive, with a second vehicle coming to rest farther down the roadway near Rascals Way. Emergency crews initially responded to reports of a possible entrapment.

Responders arrived to find both vehicles damaged with airbags deployed and confirmed that no occupants were trapped. The injured individual was evaluated at the scene and transported to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment. The injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

Hollywood Road was temporarily closed during the response but reopened to traffic by 1 p.m.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
