A two-year old girl was seriously injured Thursday afternoon in a two-car crash in Newburg. According to the Maryland State Police (MSP) the girl was transported by Medevac helicopter Trooper 7 to Childrenโs Hospital in Washington, DC with life threatening injuries.
The girl was a passenger in a car driven by Amanda Marie Bradshaw, 24, of Cobb Island. Bradshaw apparently lost control of the westbound car and skidded across Rock Point Road west of Cobb Island Road. The car went over the double yellow center lines into the path of a car driven by Connie Miller, 72, of Cobb Island.
Bradshaw and another passenger, a one-year old girl, were both flown to Washington Hospital Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Miller was transported to Civista Medical Center in La Plata also with non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger in the Miller car, Roger Miller, 72, refused transport and was treated and released at the scene.
The Maryland State Police La Plata troopers and the MSP Crash Team members responded to the scene of the collision at 1:15 p.m. According to an MSP Press release, โThis collision is still being investigated and any witnesses to the incident are encouraged to contact Senior Trooper Zimmerman of the Maryland State Police Crash Team.
