La Plata, MD – A two-vehicle crash on Turkey Hill Road at Dower Drive in La Plata Friday afternoon, May 13 resulted in the transporting via helicopter of an injured motorist. Charles County authorities said the crash occurred shortly before 5 p.m.
According to the La Plata Volunteer Fire Department, one motorist was trapped in a vehicle. Crews extricated in injured motorist, who was then flown by Maryland State Police helicopter to an area trauma center.
The crash remains under investigation and no names have been released at this time.
