United Cerebral Palsy of Southern Maryland, Inc. has exciting news! The agency has changed its name to Bay Community Support Services, Inc.
The change from United Cerebral Palsy of Southern Maryland, Inc. to Bay Community Support Services, Inc. came as a result of the agency’s need for a name that better defined its mission to provide services to people with not only cerebral palsy but also people with other special needs.
Executive Director, Mitzi Bernard says “It’s both a sad and exciting time for us. We have enjoyed a long relationship with United Cerebral Palsy Associations and we’re sad to leave the UCP family. We truly appreciate all that UCPA has done for us and the fine work they do for others, but we feel it’s time for us to take a different path.”
Bay Community Support Services, Inc. will still offer the same great services to all people with disabilities. Those services will still include residential, community supported living arrangements, supportive employment, individual and family support services. It will still have the same great folks working for it and the same great folks volunteering! It’s only the name that will be changing.
