UPDATE – The Associated Press reports that a second victim has died from this morning’s school shooting atย  Marshall County High School in Kentucky. The victims are believed to be a boy and a girl, both 15-years-old. Reports say that the injury count is now up to 19 people, most of which being students. The suspect, a 15-year-old boy, is in police custody and is expected to be charged with murder.

ย BENTON, Ky. – A school shooting has left one dead and many others injured according tweets from Kentucky Governor, Matt Bevin.ย 

“Tragic shooting at Marshall County HS…Shooter is in custody, one confirmed fatality, multiple others wounded…Much yet unknown…Please do not speculate or spread hearsay…Let’s let the first responders do their job and be grateful that they are there to do it for us…”

The shooting occurred on the morning of Jan. 23 at Marshal County High School in Benton, Kentucky. Authorities report that the shooting incident is now over and police have the suspect in custody.ย ย 

Police are currently investigating, no further details have been released at this time.ย
