CLINTON, Md. – Firefighters extinguished a large house fire in Prince George’s County this morning. 

At approximately 5:50 a.m., fire and rescue personnel responded to the single-family home in the 11100 block of Tippett Road of Clinton.

Crews arrived on the scene and found the 1-story single-family home with fire showing through the roof and heavy fire throughout home.  One Prince George’s County Fire Department firefighter was transported with minor burn injuries.

All occupants are accounted for and none of them were injured from the fire. The house did have working smoke alarms. The Prince George’s County Office of Emergency Management assisting total of six adults displaced by the fire.

Fire investigators estimate the property damage at $350K. The cause was related to a pellet stove; determined to be accidental.
