Waldorf Native Is Gearing Up For The NFL Draft

WALDORF, Md. – North Point High School graduate and Waldorf native Caelen Carson is looking to make his childhood dreams come true with the NFL Draft only a little over a week away.

Carson, a cornerback for Wake Forest University, impressed scouts during his performance at this year’s draft combine which took place from February 29 through March 3. According to his prospect profile on NFL.com, Carson ended up with a 6.22 prospect grade. He earned a 74 total score during the combine, which placed him 10th overall compared to other participating cornerbacks.

Carson finished his Wake Forest career with 120 total tackles, 26 passes defended, and 3 passes defended. So far, Carson is projected to be a second or third-round selection.

The 2024 NFL draft will take place from Thursday, April 25 to Saturday, April 27.
