WALDORF, Md. โ€” Authorities are searching for a suspect who stabbed a 25-year-old man in the groin during an argument at a Waldorf restaurant early Saturday morning before fleeing in a car. An arrest has not yet been made.

The incident occurred on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at approximately 3:39 a.m., at a restaurant located at 2975 Crain Highway.

According to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office, the altercation began as an argument, during which the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim once. Callers to 911 also reported that the suspect was intoxicated and threatened other patrons with the knife before leaving.

Emergency medical crews arrived to find the 25-year-old victim with a laceration to his groin area. Paramedics were able to control the bleeding before he was transported as a Priority 2 trauma patient to the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center for treatment.

The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle before police arrived. The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about the incident to call them or submit a tip through the Charles County Crime Solvers tip line at 1-866-411-TIPS.
