WALDORF, Md. โ A man was flown to a regional trauma center with severe injuries after being ejected during a violent two-vehicle rollover crash in Waldorf on Saturday evening, August 9, 2025. A second occupant in the vehicle was also injured and transported by ambulance.
Emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 5:19 p.m. to the intersection of Berry Road and Democracy Drive for a report of a vehicle that had flipped over. First responders arrived to find two patients requiring medical attention.
According to dispatch reports, a 40-year-old female occupant was conscious and bleeding; paramedics transported her by ground ambulance to Capital Region Medical Center for treatment. The other patient, a 40-year-old male, was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. He was found with severe abrasions and a significant head injury, described in dispatch logs as a “deformity to the skull.”
Due to the severity of the man’s injuries, crews requested a Maryland State Police medevac helicopter. A landing zone was established at the nearby Jenifer Elementary School. Trooper 7 flew the patient as a Priority 2 to MedSTAR trauma center for treatment.
The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the crash.
