On June 5, at 5:55 p.m., Tpr. W. Jefferson responded to the Giant Food Store in the First Colony shopping center for the reported theft under $500.
Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 60 of California. She advised she had taken the groceries to her vehicle when an unknown white male, in his early 20’s stole her wallet from her purse which was still in the shopping cart and fled on foot.
The suspect was described as a white male, early 20’s, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 200 lbs. He had a goatee and light complexion.
The investigation is ongoing.
