On August 22, at 2:57 p.m., Trooper First Class Bowling responded to the Bayside Chevrolet/Toyota on Solomons Island Rd., Pr. Frederick, for a reported theft.
While test driving a vehicle, the victim had placed his wallet in the center console. Upon returning to the dealership to complete the necessary paperwork, the wallet had been removed.
Investigation revealed Jeffrey A. Nalls, Jr., 18 of Port Republic, took the item and after removing the cash, had discarded the wallet in a storm drain. The cash and the wallet were recovered.
Charges against Nalls are pending.
