INDIAN HEAD, Md. — Walton’s Seafood Carryout and Beverage, one of the oldest establishments in Charles County, has officially closed its doors, with efforts now underway to find a new tenant for the site at 3330 Livingston Road in Indian Head.
The closure request was presented to the Charles County Board of License Commissioners on April 10, 2025, by David Martinez, esquire, who represented the business. Walton’s requested a 120-day closure period starting April 10 to allow time to identify a new tenant who may assume the liquor license, pending board approval.
Although the restaurant’s website, orderwaltonsseafood.com, still appears to be accepting online orders, multiple calls to the listed phone number have gone unanswered, reinforcing the closure status.
If no new tenant is secured by Aug. 10, the liquor license status will need to be reviewed again by the board. Walton’s, which earned a 4.3-star Google rating, had been a longtime favorite for steamed crabs and other takeout seafood dishes in the Indian Head area.
