CHESAPEAKE BEACH, Md. — A Chesapeake Beach man is facing felony and misdemeanor charges after Calvert County Sheriff’s Office investigators alleged he sexually assaulted another patron during an incident outside a Chesapeake Beach restaurant and bar.

Dustin Hunter Disney, 28, of Chesapeake Beach, was charged in the District Court for Calvert County with first-degree assault, second-degree assault and fourth-degree sex offense involving sexual contact.

According to charging documents, deputies were dispatched at approximately 9:35 p.m. on June 21 to the parking garage at the Rod ‘N’ Reel Resort, 4165 Mears Ave., after receiving a report of an alleged sexual assault. The complainant was the resort’s security supervisor, who reported that a patron said they had been sexually assaulted and that the suspect had already left the area.

Investigators identified Disney as the suspect, who they said also goes by the name “Hunter.” Deputies searched for him at his residence and surrounding businesses but were unable to locate him that night.

According to court documents, investigators interviewed the victim and multiple witnesses. The victim told deputies they had met Disney while socializing with friends at the 1936 Bar & Grill inside the Rod ‘N’ Reel Resort. After the group consumed alcoholic beverages together, they went outside to smoke, where Disney allegedly joined them.

According to charging documents, investigators allege that while outside, Disney repeatedly engaged in unwanted sexual contact with the victim despite repeated objections.

Deputies reported observing visible injuries, including marks on the victim’s throat and a bite mark on the neck. According to the charging documents, although the victim reported being grabbed by the throat, the victim stated they never lost the ability to breathe and declined emergency medical treatment.

The victim told investigators they repeatedly told Disney “no” throughout the encounter and said they were uncomfortable with his actions. After leaving Disney and another individual, the victim continued receiving text messages that investigators believed were sent from the phone of Disney’s companion. Deputies later attempted to locate Disney at another residence in Prince Frederick, but investigators reported he was not there.

Several restaurant employees also provided statements to investigators.

According to court documents, one employee reported observing Disney making unwanted physical contact with the victim for an extended period before the victim ran downstairs appearing upset. Another employee stated they observed Disney lean toward the victim’s neck and hair. Investigators also noted that the restaurant advised deputies that security camera footage was available.

Based on the investigation, Deputy M. Snyder applied for an arrest warrant charging Disney with first-degree assault and fourth-degree sex offense. Court records indicate the application also resulted in charges of second-degree assault.

According to court records, District Court Judge Louis Oertly issued an arrest warrant for Disney on June 22, 2026. The warrant was served the following day, June 23.

Following his arrest, Disney was released after posting a $5,000 unsecured personal bond. Court records show he is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on July 21, 2026, at Calvert District Court. The charges are allegations, and Disney is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
