Blue Windโ€™s Wine Wednesday and Artwork Series continues Wednesday, Nov. 12, ย from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Blue Wind Gourmet in California. Come celebrate the arts, the farm fresh produce and the quality of life in southern Maryland.ย

Partnering with various local artists and wineries, Blue Wind offers fresh foods for tasting, wines for sampling and the talents of regional artists for viewing.ย  Proceeds from the events will go toward supporting the programs of the Patuxent Habitat for Humanity.

The next featured artist is photographer, Jenna Licurgo.ย  In addition to photography, Jenna owns and operates a Bed and Breakfast in her home, Open Gates Farm.ย “There is so much beauty in every-day life and sometimes we’re too busy to notice”, says Jenna.ย  “Sunsets, for instance, are here and gone very quickly.ย  To capture it in a photograph is to seize that moment in time to enjoy againย & again.ย  Southern Maryland offers so much beauty…we have the water, the farms, wildlife, the old homes, interesting people…endless, living art.”

As Blue Wind owner, Rob Plant states, โ€œWe are very glad to welcome Jenna to the series both for her photographic talent and her passion for the region and its natural beauty.

“The work of the Patuxent Habitat for Humanity improves the lives for all residents within our community and it is through the strength of these partnerships that all can share in the rewards of living here in Southern Marylandโ€, continued Plant.ย

The Wednesday Wine and Artwork on display throughout the shop will be artwork of that weekโ€™s featured artist, along with samplings of local foods and wines.ย Special additions such as signed prints from the artists and other offerings will also be included.ย  A donation of $10 is requested for the tasting .ย

Featured artists will be given prominent, dedicated display within the store for the duration of the show.ย  The works of the participants will also be included in the promotion of the series.ย  Interested artists can participate by contacting Barbara Zeiller on (410) 394-6234 or b_zeiller@comcast.net.
