Woman Airlifted To Trauma Center In Critical Condition After ATV Crash

FAULKNER, Md. — A woman in her 20s was airlifted Tuesday evening after a serious ATV crash in Charles County left her with critical injuries.

The accident was reported around 7:24 p.m., August 26, 2025, near Lomax Road and Timbercreek Lane. The 911 caller stated the rider struck a tree and was not wearing a helmet.

First responders located the patient and the ATV in a wooded area and requested assistance from the Maryland State Police Aviation Command. Trooper 7 transported the patient to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.

The incident remains under investigation.
