LEXINGTON PARK, Md. — A woman was taken into custody after reportedly assaulting someone at a Lexington Park residence, fleeing the scene, and leading deputies on a vehicle pursuit that resulted in a collision with a sheriff’s office patrol vehicle.
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the 21000 block of Liberty Street on Wednesday following reports of an assault in progress. While en route, officers were informed that the suspect had left the residence in a vehicle.
Deputies located the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver, identified as 26-year-old Sabrina Brianna Thompson of Lexington Park, allegedly refused to comply. During the pursuit, Thompson stopped in the roadway, reversed into an occupied patrol vehicle, and nearly struck another deputy before continuing to flee.
The chase ended near Three Notch Road and Valley Drive when deputies immobilized Thompson’s vehicle. She was taken into custody without further incident, and no injuries were reported.
Thompson faces multiple charges, including two counts of second-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault on a law enforcement officer, and malicious destruction of property. She was also cited for various traffic violations and is being held without bond.
The case remains under investigation.

Bet she’s a joy to be around.
Will she have to pay restitution to repair the deputy’s vehicle? Only seems appropriate.
