Woman Arrested for Leaving Crash Scene; Others Forced to Appear

At 9:45 a.m. May 11, TFC A. Rossignol arrested Julie Elizabeth Mayer, 24, of Solomons, on a St. Mary’s County Bench Warrant for Failing to Appear in Court to answer to charges of failure to immediately return and remain at the scene of an accident involving bodily injury, and failure of vehicle driver to stop after unattended property damage accident. Mayer was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held until posting a $3,500 bond.

On May 4, 2006, Keith Alan Garner 2nd, 25, of Temple Hills, was extradited from Reidsville, NC, back to St. Mary’s County where he was arrested on a Circuit Court True Bill Indictment for CDS and handgun violations. He was held at the Detention Center on no bond.

At 11:55 a.m. May 11, TFC L. Nims arrested Joshua Alexander Mason, 22, of Clements, on a St. Mary’s County Bench Warrant for Failing to Appear in Court to answer to a charge of driving while suspended. Mason was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held without bond.

At 5:46 p.m. May 11, TFC S. VanBennekum served Joseph Robert Anderson, 20, of Mechanicsville, with a summons to appear in court to answer to a Trespassing charge.  This charge resulted from an investigation at the Wildewood Swim Club on May 2.

At 6:18 p.m. May 11, Tpr. T. Long arrested Robert E. Newton, 43, of Great Mills, on a St. Mary’s County Bench Warrant for Failing to Appear in Court to answer to charges of possession of CDS and possession of CDS paraphernalia. Newton was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held on no bond.

At 5:20 p.m. May 12, TFC J. Linger arrested Louis Jerome Wood, 45, of Waldorf, on a Charles County Bench Warrant for Failing to Appear in Court to answer to a charge of driving while suspended. Wood was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held until posting a $3,000 bail.

At 1:15 p.m. May 10, TFC A. Rossignol arrested Hannibel Irvin Taylor, 52, of Washington DC, on a Bench Warrant for Failing to Follow Conditions of Probation from a DUI charge. Taylor was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held on no bond.

At 7:35 p.m. May 10, TFC S. Van Bennekum arrested Dustin Anton Pernell, 22, of Lusby, on two St. Mary’s County warrants and one Calvert County warrant.  The St. Mary’s County warrants were for failing to appear in court to answer to 2 counts of driving while suspended and 1 count of possession of CDS. The Calvert County warrant was for violation of probation on a 3rd degree sex offense. Pernell was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held on no bond.

At 5:15 p.m. May 5, Nelson Lorenzo Butler, 29, of Leonardtown, was arrested by Tpr. T. Long, on a Bench Warrant for Failing to Appear in Court to answer to a charge of driving while suspended.  He was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held until posting a $3,500 bail.

At 7:25 p.m. May 7, TFC L. Nims arrested Elizabeth Kelly Gant, 28, of Drayden, on a Charles County Bench Warrant for Failing to Appear in Court to answer to a theft charge. Gant was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held until posting a $157.50 bail.
