On January 27, Corporal V Walker responded to a residence on Bridgett Lane in Lexington Park. Investigation revealed Justin Travis Bowles, 25 of Great Mills, was engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into a physical assault when Bowles punched the victim in the head, arms, legs and pulled the victim’s hair.
The victim attempted to flee Bowles’ assault but Bowles blocked the victim’s only exit and would not allow her to leave. Bowles again punched the victim. The victim attempted to flee Bowles’ assault a second time but Bowles stopped the victim and once again punched the victim about the head and body. The victim made a third attempt to escape Bowles’ assault. Bowles ripped clothing from the victim’s body as the victim ran out of the house. T
he victim was able to flee to a neighbor’s house and called 911. Bowles had fled the residence prior to Cpl. Walker’s arrival but Cpl. Walker located Bowles a short time later, arrested and charged Bowles with second-degree assault and unlawful detention.
