On January 27, Corporal V Walker responded to a residence on Bridgett Lane in Lexington Park.ย Investigation revealed Justin Travis Bowles, 25 of Great Mills,ย was engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into a physical assault when Bowles punched the victim in the head, arms, legs and pulled the victimโs hair.ย
The victim attempted to flee Bowlesโ assault but Bowles blocked the victimโs only exit and would not allow her to leave.ย Bowles again punched the victim.ย The victim attempted to flee Bowlesโ assault a second time but Bowles stopped the victim and once again punched the victim about the head and body.ย The victim made a third attempt to escape Bowlesโ assault.ย Bowles ripped clothing from the victimโs body as the victim ran out of the house.ย T
he victim was able to flee to a neighborโs house and called 911.ย Bowles had fled the residence prior to Cpl. Walkerโs arrival but Cpl. Walker located Bowles a short time later, arrested and charged Bowles with second-degree assault and unlawful detention.ย
