On January 27, Corporal V Walker responded to a residence on Bridgett Lane in Lexington Park.ย  Investigation revealed Justin Travis Bowles, 25 of Great Mills,ย was engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into a physical assault when Bowles punched the victim in the head, arms, legs and pulled the victimโ€™s hair.ย 

The victim attempted to flee Bowlesโ€™ assault but Bowles blocked the victimโ€™s only exit and would not allow her to leave.ย  Bowles again punched the victim.ย  The victim attempted to flee Bowlesโ€™ assault a second time but Bowles stopped the victim and once again punched the victim about the head and body.ย  The victim made a third attempt to escape Bowlesโ€™ assault.ย  Bowles ripped clothing from the victimโ€™s body as the victim ran out of the house.ย  T

he victim was able to flee to a neighborโ€™s house and called 911.ย  Bowles had fled the residence prior to Cpl. Walkerโ€™s arrival but Cpl. Walker located Bowles a short time later, arrested and charged Bowles with second-degree assault and unlawful detention.ย
